From Cd to mp3 also know as ripping, you can use programs like audiograbber, itunes, imtoo cd ripper

From Wav to mp3 converters use cool edit pro, acid pro, soundforge

From DAT to mp3 use line in on your sound card from record out of your dat machine and record using programs as above acid pro, soundforge, cool edit pro.

Conversion rates: to keep your music still sounding good but easy and fast to share online and under 10mb convert as 128k or 192k 44100 stereo for tracks around 5 to 7 minuets in length
