DRUM & BASS/RAGGA JUNGLE/HARDTEK/RAGGA DNB

PSYCHOFREUD (Viking Champion Sound/Knowledge & Wisdom)

PsychoFreud aka Anders Figenschow from Norway has been very busy the last 16 years. Being an active hip hop producer at the age of 17, he spent most of his time producing and touring. Having a strong love for reggae music, his production had strong influences from it even back then. In 1993 a ragga jungle CD caught his attention, and while the fast and hard breaks really appealed to him, he firmly established “it was reggae”. The basslines, vocals, and the soul itself of the tunes, were already based on reggae tracks he already loved. PsychoFreud started producing ragga jungle as soon as he came to hear it – where the influences came from producers like Shy FX, Micky Finn, Dillinja, and DJ Zinc. Ragga jungle evolved quickly over the years, and separated into several branches, like today's harder drum and bass. Congo Natty Records and Knowledge & Wisdom, who had been early out with genre shaping tunes, started releasing drum and bass with ragga vocals in it rather than the mash up style which had been the first to come. Strongly influenced by this turn, PsychoFreud made several tunes around the change of the millennium, and released his first ragga drum and bass tune on vinyl, as a remix on a Norwegian hip hop EP, in 2001. He realized that around this time, there were several producers flooding the market with just about everything they made, be it good or bad, and he decided to instead focus on free internet distribution of his music. “Deliver Me”, one of his jungle tunes made in 1998, is still one of his most requested tracks today.
His reggae sound system, Vikings Champion Sound, founded in 1998, also grew these years, and it was only natural to expand to the use of jungle within the sound. Vikings Champion Sound also added a new member early on, DJ Vicious-E, one of Norway's hardest working dancehall DJ's.

In 2006, after having freely given out many tunes on the internet, he caught the attention of some of his early inspirations, Terry T and Souljah from legendary Knowledge & Wisdom Recordings. Terry T signed PsychoFreud in 2006 for numerous releases, starting with the tunes “Selassie I” and “Originality” on the Souljah Records imprint (cat SR014). Knowledge & Wisdom would later release a remake of the 1998 hit “Deliver Me”, and the soundclash hit “Run For Cover”. Representing the Knowledge & Wisdom family and their sound system Jungle Ambassadors all around Europe – he would include Terry T, Souljah, and Demolition Man as true Vikings Champion Sound members. PsychoFreud works closely with these talented artists both in studio and on stage even today, and have big plans for the future.*

AUDIO (Freak/Virus/Subtitles/Offkey/Position Chrome)*

Audio's first experience with electronic music was in the Early 90's with the Colin Dale and Colin Favour radio shows on Kiss 100. He was instantly hooked, and when, a few years later, the classic "Wormhole" LP on Virus recordings was released, there was no turning back and he embraced the underground family that we know and love as, Drum and Bass. Inspired to start Djing, non-stop record buying and mixing followed, and he was soon playing at local illegal raves around London. Production was the next logical step for him, experimenting with various pieces of hardware over the next few years. After a chance meeting, Audio was handed a CD with the programs Acid 1.0 and Reason 1.0, and from that moment things dramatically changed. soon after he began releasing tracks and getting a buzz around him, From this Audio became the main producer behind Resonant Evil and went on to have releases on Renegade Hardware, G2 , Outbreak and Moving Shadow, this also lead to many opportunities DJing across Europe. Moving to present day,Audio has joined Dylan's fiendish family and has become a member of the Freak / Anger Management & Therapy Sessions cult and has been concentrating purely on his solo material, bringing His own special brand of twisted tech darkness that has been consistently demolishing dance floors all over the UK and Europe!
