    Arena Opening TimesThe main arena will open at 12noon on Saturday and Sunday and the bands will finish at 11pm.

    Once the arena is closed you can remain in a section of the arena that stays open (The Village) throughout the night. Films will be shown The Arena (Stage 3) on Friday and Saturday. Some food and drink stalls and fun fair rides will remain open.

    Both Hylands Park and Weston Park campsites open at 12noon on Friday 20 August and close on Monday 23 August at noon.

    Travelling to Hylands ParkHylands Park is in the parish of Writtle approximately 2 miles outside of Chelmsford on the A414.

    If you are arriving on foot, please follow the signs from Chelmsford to the V Festival site and use gate 6 or 1. Unless you are camping in Yellow campsite then please follow the signs worded Yellow from Gate 1.

    BY SHUTTLE BUS

    Friday 20th - Coval Lane, Chelmsford to V Festival Bus Station 9.30am - 11pm

    Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd - Coval Lane, Chelmsford to V Festival Bus Staion 9.30am - 7pm

    V Festival Bus Station to Viaduct Road, Chelmsford 7pm - 1am (Sunday)

    Monday 23rd - V Festival Bus Station to Coval Lane, Chelmsford 6am - 1pm

    BY CAR For up to date traffic information relating to the roads surrounding Hylands Park please call 0208 185 3935 this number will be in operation for the following times during the event:

    Friday 20 August 9am to 9pm - Saturday 21 August 9am to midnight - Sunday 22 August 9am to midnight - Monday 23 August 8am to 1pm

    Information is also available regarding the pick up and drop off points on this number.

    If you are travelling from East Anglia follow the A12 to Chelmsford. If you are travelling from the South or West take the M25 and exit at junction 28 to the A12. At Chelmsford exit from the A12 to the festival site along the A414. Once on the A414 be sure to check the signs and follow the appropriate directions. If you are travelling from the north via the M11 follow the signs from Junction 7 to Chelmsford on the A414. Once at Chelmsford you will pick up the directions for the V Festival.

    Day Visitors. Follow the signs showing a P.

    Camping. Follow the signs depicting a tent. If you are in yellow campsite you should have received a hanging card showing you are in yellow campsite please ensure you follow the signs with the word Yellow. There are a limited number of gates into the park and traffic movement can be slow especially on Friday.

    Caravans, Campervans, Trailer Tents. Follow the sign depicting a caravan. This is within an area of red car park.

    GETTING A LIFT? There is a pick up and drop off point use the following information only: Please exit the A12 at junction 17 and follow the signs for V Festival. The A414 at junction 15 will be closed and no vehicle will be able to access Hylands Park from this junction. To avoid distress when you are being picked up please ensure your driver has this information.

    FESTIVAL BUDi If you are seeking a lift or if you have to drive your car please try V festival’s FestivalBUDi. If you have spare seats in your car and if you’re driving an average sized petrol car, having four people in it will bring your CO2 emissions per person to less than travelling by train! So it really does make a difference if fill up all the seats.

    It’s simple, just follow the these 3 easy steps:

    2. When you receive your activation email, click on the link to activate your account.
    3. Search for matches and get in touch with people that you would like to travel with.

    PARKING is £5 in advance plus 75p booking fee or £10 on the gate.

    You should have booked a car parking ticket at the same time as you booked your tickets, however if you have not done so and would like to please contact SEE Tickets on 0871 230 7139.

    If you book in advance you will be sent a sticky pass, which should be displayed on your windscreen prior to arrival at the festival site.
    Do not park in the surrounding roads as temporary traffic restrictions are in place and you will be towed away by the Police. Sleeping in vehicles in the car parks is not permitted. This is due to fire regulations and for your own safety.

    EXITING THE CAR PARKS Most customers generally try to leave at the same time, which causes congestion, especially on Monday morning when local people travel to work.

    There are a limited number of gates going out of the park and the egress can be slow. Please be patient, the Police and Stewards will do all they can to assist and get you away from the site as quickly as possible.

    Our advice is to stay in the campsite, put your feet up and relax with a cup of tea until the traffic has calmed down.

    Travelling To Weston ParkWeston Park is situated on the A5 in Weston-under-Lizard, 30 minutes from central Birmingham.

    BY TRAIN The two nearest main line stations are Wolverhampton and Stafford call 08457 484950 for rail travel information. Click www.nationalrail.co.uk for all rail information. Shuttle buses operate from the above stations to Weston Park for £8 return.

    BY SHUTTLE BUS National Express West Midlands will be operating a £8 return shuttle bus service from Wolverhampton - Fryer Street (50 meters from Bus Station) and Stafford Rail Station to Weston Park and back. They will run up to every 15 minutes during the times detailed below:

    Wolverhampton - Fryer Street (2 minutes walk from the Rail Station)

    Friday 20 August - Wolverhampton Bus Station to Weston Park - 9.30am - 10.30pm

    Saturday 21 August - Wolverhampton Bus Station to Weston Park - 9.30am - 3.30pm

    Weston Park to Wolverhampton Bus Station - 8.00pm - 12.30am (Sunday Morning)

    TRAVELLING TO WESTON PARK BY CAR

    From M6 Southbound off at J12 then A5 Westbound for 10 miles to the V Festival.
    From M6 Northbound off at J10a then M54 to J3 to the V Festival.
    From South Wales M4 to A449 then A40 to M50, M5, M6 North as above.
    From North East M1 to J28, then A38 to A5 Westbound to the V Festival.
    From South East M40, M5, M6 Northbound as above or M1, M6 as above.
    There will be road signs as you approach the V Festival site to bring you in the most convenient entrance.

    The AA will be at V Festival to help you should you have any problems with your vehicle. They can be found next to the festival Police Station.

    Please remember that Sat Nav systems do not have the up to date restrictions and road closures that are put in place for V, it’s important to follow the road signs and not your Sat Nav when you are nearing the festival.

    Keep updated with V Festival traffic by tuning into Beacon Radio on 97.2 FM.

    LEAVING WESTON PARK Customers will generally attempt to leave V Festival at the same time, which can cause congestion on the surrounding roads especially on Monday morning when local people are travelling to work. There is only limited number of gates to exit the park so the egress can be slow. Please be patient, the stewards and police will do all they can to assist. Our advice is to stay calm, have breakfast and a cuppa and relax until the traffic has died down.

    GETTING A LIFT TO WESTON PARK If you are being dropped off and picked up please do this at the FESTIVAL DROP OFF & PICK UP POINT off the A5. Do not make your own meeting point; it may be inaccessible to pedestrians or cars at the end of the festival due to temporary traffic orders.

    There is ample official supervised and lit car parking on the festival site that is £10 per vehicle and payable on arrival. Please do not park in the surrounding roads as road closures are in place and your vehicle will be towed away. Cars will not be permitted to park in the Campervan Area.

    Sleeping in vehicles in car parks is not permitted. This is due to fire regulations and your safety. Do not drink or take drugs and drive or drink alcohol or drive if you think you are too tired to do so. Look after yourself and others by ensuring you are fit to drive before you leave V.

    i watched some of this on catch up it looked great the weather was'nt the best but how did you all enjoy it was you there?
