Default 8th jan fabriclive: Elevator music launch & numbers

With new years resolutions made and enough time to rest after the festive period, what better way to get back into the swing of things than a night out to Fabriclive, and the first one into 2010 certainly does not disappoint.

Room one Glasgow’s finest Number are taking over! House legend Todd Edwards is behind the decks in room one to wow us with his hypnotic collage of cut-up samples over swung beats and lively disco-flavored basslines. He’ll be joined by the glitchy sounds of Glaswegian hip hop dj and producer, Hudson Mohawke, who will be performing Live. Also, a live set from Rustie. Plus expect sets from Jackmaster, Deadboy, Spencer, Nelson and Goodhand!

Room two has another astonishing line up of DJs for your pleasure. Netherland dubstepper 2562 will be heading up pack. Tempa boy Headhunter will be mixing the sounds of dubstep and techno. dBridge make a welcome return along with Instra:mental for some funked out drums n bass! Also in room two, Joy Orbison, Jack Sparrow and Sigha. Crowd hyping responsibilities fall to MCs Crazy D, Dread MC and MC System!

Last but not least, room three plays host to the launch of the “Elevator music” album, featuring the funky-garage-rave infused dubstep of Untold, the melodic swagger of Shortstuff. Also sets from Hot City, XXXY, Mosca and Vista for excessive bass fun!

The massive line up in all its glory is as follows:
    8 JANUARY
    ROOM ONE:

A part of the Numbers collective, Deadboy, is set to perform this weekend when Numbers take over room one at FABRICLIVE. To get you hyped for the night and to session a bit of what Deadboy is all about, he has laid down a mix (with track listing) for the guys at FACT magazine not to mention your listening pleasure. There is also a cheeky interview!

He's kindly laid down this cracking mix of bass heavy flavours for Dazed Digital, so to get you in the mood for his performance this weekend, we thought we'd send it your way so you can have some heavy tuneage to keep you going till tomorrow night.
