Biography:

Steve Smith was born and raised in Kings Lynn. He attended Park High and from there went to Norcat College, but it was here that Steve fell in love with Dance Music and quit college early.

"At the start, I had two belt drive decks for about a year and a half that had no pitch control or anything, and used to mess about on them with the Electro and commercial Hip Hop that I was into. Then one day my cousin and next door neighbour at the time brought home some mix tapes from some pirate radio station in london. After 20 minutes listening to DJ Hype I new the musical direction I was heading in. The tunes on these tapes showed me the uprising of a new kind of music - HOUSE."
"From late 89 the parties were getting bigger and better and so was the music and it was a certain party called Perception and watching Andy Carroll, Mix Factory, Easygroove and Carl Cox doing there thing and seeing the crowds reaction thats when I decided thats what I want to do.So over the years I managed to play at some great parties and clubs and enjoyed every minute of it. There's some great music getting churned out at the moment along with some great clubs but those early hazy days were the best."

Of course there comes at time when you settle down etc etc!! and you have to put the breaks on a little!! However here we are in 2006 and I find myself missing the scene (the smoke and strobes)!! So if you're looking for a dj to provide an oldskool feel to your party give me a shout..
