Biography:

Rebus is John N. Borned in Chania in 1978 he soon understanded the meaning of the electronic music and culture in his life..Early on, as a young teenager, he got infected with the virus of electronic music, quickly falling in love with breakbeat,electro, Drum’n’Bass and techno... Started buying vinyls since the age of 13,he started experimenting in mixing them at his first radio editions and dj sets in his natural city under the labels 'Noisebass' and 'Dubtribe' focused on electronic music since 1995. In 1997 he forms 'Starbase 23' with George K., the legendary party team who organised the most underground parties in Chania.. It was the first duo who introduce techno, electro and drum 'n' bass in this small town of Crete..Soon the recognition came and the crowd got bigger and bigger..They have played everywhere in Chania, at all famous bars and clubs of this period... Street, P, Oinoflix, 2 Lux, Kirki, Aoton, Mythos, Palaiochora club are only some of the places these parties took place... In 2003 Rebus took the decision to change page so he decided to move in Athens..He started being a resident dj at the most upfronts bars as Inoteka and Wunderbar spinning his explosive electro beats and breaks... He also started a weekly residency at the Cafeina bar playing tech house and presenting the 'Kompakt' and other german labels from 2003 till 2005... Rebus has played in several spots in Athens incuding K44, Hoxton, Aspro, Inoteka, Cafeina, Wunderbar, PLastik, Open etc... In 2005 he started another project called 'This is not the 80s'. The cause of this project was to bring the electronic air and style from the mid-80s as playing underground stuff from italodisco to electrofunk and from new wave to synthpop..'This is not the 80s' parties have taken place at Disco, Tribe, Carousel, Group Therapy, Koubi, Open, Inoteka, Manaslu, etc... In 2008 he also formed the 'Metrics' project with VieL...Since they have been playing different forms of techno..
