Dj Shark-I

DJ Shark.I (aka dubplate sharki) grew up in North London. He was aware of the underground seen at a young age and started break dancing and getting into Electro at the age of 11, from there he went on to rapping, mixing and scratching at the age of 14.
In the early 90's DJ Sharki teamed up with Q.S (aka Dj Smooth), Cutter and Mc Secure where they began to promote there own raves called 2 strong and fusion with big success. In 1993 he put his attention into producing Jungle and released his first song on white label (morning rush)
He also went on to release more songs on a label called fresh cut recordings then on to web recordings producing UK garage.
DJ Sharki is currently working on UK garage Nu skool and Drum & bass and will be releasing an album at the end of this year.

Varied emotional trips good balance between flow and power

Using a varierty of types of sound, this artist creates a real atmosphere and sounds classy, like any Drum & Bass I ever heard. There was a couple of tracks that were quite upbeat and really got me going; brilliant source material for mixes, and there was a couple of others that were a bit more subdued but nonetheless quite moving. Obviously this is an artist who is comfortable with his own style and knows what to do with sounds to create particular kinds of journey through sounds. Unmissablee. chyll br34ks w/ lots of emotion

Dj sharki deserves 5 stars. drum and bass like this is rare, its so laid back, sounds so clean, and is filled with emotion. i include the song "people say" in my playlists along with tracks by the masters like dj aphrodite and pendulum.
