How do I upload more than 15 minute videos for my youtube Let's Play?

There are 2 ways you can upload videos longer than 15 minutes:

1. You can upload videos longer than 15 minutes if you are a YouTube partner, see Exclusive Content. for details.

2. You can upload videos longer than 15 minutes if you are given the ability by YouTube. The ability is given to users who have already got a decent amount of content on their channel, and a good track record of not violating copyright and the community guidelines, if you get this ability you will see a blue banner saying:

"Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads of longer than 15 minutes. Click the Upload button below to select a video."

On the upload page. There's no way to contact youtube about it, so you'll have to wait until the automated system gets to you, sorry.

After uploading a 20 min video i get this error saying "This video has been removed because it is too long. Sorry about that."

What is the point youtube allowing you to upload longer videos then giving these warnings This video has been removed because it is too long. Sorry about that..... Im looking around the youtube forums to try and get a answer on this subject.
