Kmag March 2009

Our first issue of 2009 is ready to hit the streets, here's what you can find in it. Check out our fresh new look as well...

COVER STARS: THE QEMISTS

With the crossover from drum & bass to rock music blown into gaping craters by Pendulum, there has scarcely been a better time to unleash an album hungrily gorging itself on the joint potential of two of the world's most popular genres. Copyists will, no doubt, follow, but not on The Qemists' watch. We head to Brighton, the city where the trio have come of age, to meet the men behind Ninja Tune's rock & bass pacesetters, learn more about their ambitious live show and marvel at their wearying work ethic.

FEATURES
Lynx & Kemo: Tantalisingly postponed back in September (perhaps by angry American government officials!), 'The Raw Truth' - the debut album from Lynx & Kemo - is finally with us. And good things come to those who make very, very good drum & bass…

Raf & Ill Logic: They've taken their time about it but finally, after ten years, Ill Logic & Raf are releasing their first album: 'Darkness At Noon'. So we grabbed the international duo to chat to them about their new release.

Silver: Life is never dull when you're DJ Silver. Having finally managed to catch up with one half of the Accidental Heroes as he performed the latest leg of his world tour in South America, Knowledge found out what to expect from his debut LP 'Dance, Dance, Dance' and why he has finally decided to come home.

Mistabishi: James Pullen, aka Mistabishi is a former city broker now turned full-time drum & bass button pusher. In a little over a year and half he's managed to chalk up a string of hits on Hospital Records, an EP on Virus, and his debut album 'Drop' is tipped to be one of the big releases of 2009. We find out what makes him tick.
